  • 2 tablespoons honey Can substitute with maple syrup.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Use fresh garlic for best results.
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce Substitute with tamari for gluten-free.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust according to preference.
  • Rice, noodles, or vegetables for serving Choose based on dietary preference.

Instructions

Cooking

  • In a large pan, heat some oil over medium heat for about 1–2 minutes until shimmering.
  • Season the chicken escalopes with salt and pepper after patting them dry.
  • Add chicken to the pan and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3 minutes per side.
  • In a small bowl, mix together honey, minced garlic, and soy sauce until well combined.
  • Pour the sauce over the chicken and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce is thickened and chicken is cooked through.
  • Serve the chicken with rice, noodles, or sautéed vegetables, optionally garnishing with sliced scallions.

Notes

Do not overcrowd the pan to get a nice caramelized crust. The chicken can be reheated gently, and leftovers are great for sandwiches or salads. Consider batch cooking to save time.
