Ingredients
  

For the filling

  • 8 oz Cream cheese, softened Acts as glue to keep the filling smooth and intact.
  • 1 cup Shredded cheese Use cheddar for sharpness, mozzarella for stretch.

For the coating

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour Used to help the egg stick to the Doritos.
  • 2 large Eggs, beaten Helps the bread crumbs adhere to the chips.
  • 1 cup Bread crumbs Panko can be used for extra crunch.

For frying

  • 2 cups Vegetable oil For deep frying the stuffed Doritos.
  • 1 bag Doritos Any flavor can be used based on preference.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, stir together the cream cheese and shredded cheese until fully combined and smooth.
  • Take a Dorito and press a small amount (½ to 1 teaspoon) of the cheese mixture onto one side of the chip.
  • Set up a breading station with flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and bread crumbs in a third bowl.

Breading

  • Dip each stuffed Dorito in flour, shaking off the excess.
  • Then dip in the beaten eggs, ensuring each is well-coated.
  • Finally, roll in the bread crumbs, pressing lightly to ensure they stick.

Frying

  • Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or saucepan over medium heat (around 350°F).
  • Carefully place the coated Doritos in the hot oil, cheese side up, and fry in batches for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Drain on paper towels and let sit for 1-2 minutes before serving hot.

Notes

Don't overfill the Doritos to prevent leakage. These can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days and reheat in an air fryer or oven to restore crispiness.
