  • 1 pound ground beef 90/10 or ground turkey can be used.
  • 8 ounces pasta (rotini or penne) Any short pasta works well.
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 ounces) Can be substituted with cream of chicken or another soup.
  • 1 cup milk Use dairy or a plant-based milk.
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella) Mix for best melt.

Seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Optional Add-ins

  • chopped onions and bell peppers Adds sweetness and color.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir until well combined.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and mix everything together.

Assembly

  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Top with shredded cheese.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

You can prep this ahead and store in the fridge. It reheats well, and leftovers can be stored in airtight containers.
