  • 16 oz mushrooms (button or cremini) Choose your favorite type of mushroom.
  • 4 tbsp butter Butter makes it better!
  • 2 tsp paprika Adds a nice flavor.
  • 4 cloves garlic Adjust to taste.
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season to your preference.

For Garnish

  • Fresh herbs (like parsley or thyme) For garnish.

Preparation

  • Clean and slice the mushrooms into bite-sized pieces, about 1/4-inch thick.
  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned.

Cooking

  • Add garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
  • Add the sliced mushrooms and sprinkle paprika over them. Stir to coat evenly.
  • Sauté the mushrooms until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes, deglazing with a splash of water or broth if they stick.
  • When caramelized, add Worcestershire sauce, fresh herbs, salt, and pepper. Cook for another couple of minutes.
  • Serve warm and enjoy the compliments!

Notes

These mushrooms can be made ahead of time and stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat them in a skillet with a tiny splash of butter.
