Ingredients
  

Lasagna Ingredients

  • 9 pieces Lasagna noodles Broken into pieces
  • 15 ounces Ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese Shredded
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese Grated
  • 24 ounces Marinara sauce
  • 1 pound Ground beef Can substitute with sausage or turkey
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 medium Onion Chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Salt To taste
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper To taste

Preparation

  • Brown the ground beef (or sausage) in a pan with chopped onions and minced garlic until golden brown. Drain any excess fat.

Layering

  • In the slow cooker, layer some marinara sauce, followed by broken lasagna noodles, a dollop of ricotta cheese, and mozzarella. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used up.
  • Finish with a final layer of mozzarella on top.
  • Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for about 4-6 hours until noodles are soft and cheese is melted.

Notes

Prep ahead by layering ingredients the night before and storing in the fridge. Store leftovers in airtight containers for up to a week or freeze for later. Reheat in the microwave or oven.
